No, we have to get fire permits. I will call tomorrow and ask about the late check in. Not sure if we need to get adventure passes for extra vehicles either. I'll post up tomorrow with info.

Good idea! Updated the list in the OP with the names I know.

Last year we did not need fire permits cause your campsite comes with a fire ring and its included in the cost of the site. The camp should come with a on site Host and he will tell you all the rules. He will even have fire wood for sale. At least our guy did. You dodn't need adventure pass if the vehicles are in the camp site parking area. On the trail, if you get busted, its a $5 fix it ticket that you can take care of on line. But if you are moving along on a trail they will not stop you only if your parked.

Skysthelimit (Goerge) and myself will be staying in Serrano Campground #123 Friday night.
As for adventure passes I've heard mixed things about needing them or not but I have an extra year pass I can Lend to someone for the day.

Just talked with the sbnf folks. The gates MAY close between 9-10pm, but not all sites close their gate. If they close the gate they will generally open them again around 6-7am. The site host will have everything we need for purchase (permits, wood etc) but they recommend driving into fawn skin and buying wood from the locals before we head up, as the host will, on occasion, run pretty low on fire wood.
