Yes but not for me directly! Now I gotta get money to pay grad students to work for me and buy more hi tech toys .. ahem ... I mean "research equipment" to do research. I'm teaching at UW Madison (that's why I moved from the west).

          • I am so tempted to go. I have the 15th, 16th, and 17th off. If I do go I may have to come solo cause the girlfriend would be working, and I would have to finish the trail on the 17th so I could be to work on sunday.

It's entirely possible to do the trail in 2 days, but it would be a pretty long 2 days

... and don't forget the 10-ish hour drive!

              • Oh and that last part after Cadilac Hill just seems to drag on and on and on and on ... I'd hate to be doing that part after a long day. Oh and you gotta account for the potential breakage time ... at least the bound to happen flat tire or two with a group.

Yeah I could handle the long days on the trail, it's that going down the freeway that I hate. I will have to check my map program when I get off work to calculate my distance and I think that will be my deciding factor.

Well thanks for the offer. I wish I could call in like that. I am going to request it off, and if they give it to me great. If not then I will just come back Sat.

If worse comes to worse, we can throw some air mattresses on the floor in ours, and you can share it with us.
