  • No worries, I know how it goes. I have not been getting anything done on mine for a while due to work. Maybe I will swing by this weekend and check it out. It looks like my shop is going to be swamped out again anyway...

Well, I'll be in the garage all weekend. Come on over if you get a chance.

Take a look at where your sholder belt is mounted stock, there is a very good reason for it up so high. To many people mount them wrong and just don't understand how they work.
I think you have your info wrong. Shoulder height to 1 inch below, maybe, but NOT 1 inch above. The pic below is from the SCTA rule book which closely follows NHRA. Most belts I've seen say 0-15 degrees below the shoulder height.

        • The day I thought would never come came today. The Rat stood on it's hind legs today.

I had the wheels on but had to pull the axles back out so I didn't get a pic, but it's sitting on the suspension now and already the springs are gonna be too stiff. Adjusters are all the way up and I still gained an inch.
Still alot of welding to do, but the major stuff is burned in

The roll cage is pretty well finished, just have a few more joints to weld. The frame tie-ins work well; I'll get some pics of those tomorrow.

The upper shock mounts went together really well, I think they're gonna work fine.

The rest of the cage will be done tomorrow.

                              • Got more done this week. The back end is standing on it's own. The cage is just about done. The front gets done this weekend.

Hopefully there will be a pic of this thing on all fours Sunday night (fingers crossed)
