  • Last year one of our group snapped a long arm.

    3 batteries and 6013 rod

One ugly ass trail fix, but it got him off the trail and all the way back to the bay area.

Radiator worked out well Erik, thanks again. I'm out on this one. Too many bills, too many unfinished jobs, and not enough to cover the trip. Very bummed indeed.
I am shooting for the dusy trip coming up though. You guys have a safe one, and be careful. Dont forget to try and climb soup can rock. You drive right past it before you get to spider lake. Its
          this one.

          • I can't believe that first picture of Chris_L's slipped through with no jokes!! LOL

Anybody interested in any stickers or tees for this trip? I'm going to try not to bring the whole stash, so if you want something let me know and I can pack it up tonight. As for tees, all we have left are two XXLs. $15 each.

In case you haven't heard, I had some Rubicon Trail Run decals made up, and each Jeep will get one for free, thanks to MJR and AllTerrainDecals.com. Yay!

                        • Trouble on the 'con!!! It seems that there was a county resolution passed yesterday affecting the south half (third???) of the trail. The trail is open to through traffic, but it looks like Spider lake, and everything south is closed for anything except through traffic (no camping). You might want to get ahold of Del Albright for some more specifics, so you can plan accordingly!

                          • Makes bringing your bucket, lid and plastic bags all the more important. Maybe manditory.

Chris- Tammy. We have to tow the CJ, so I have some space in the tow vehicle. I will bring a stock 231 T-case (60K highway miles on a stock sport) and a stock drive shaft.

                            • No big deal, camp at Buck Island lake. That is where you have to cross the damn. A lot of people camp there anyway. It just makes the first day a little longer.
