Jeep Trail Reports
Steelbender / Flat Pass
Finally some sunshine on the last day in Moab. Steelbender was so close to the condo we couldn’t pass it up. The trail up the mountain was washed out in many areas. We came across a few people in trucks, etc who couldn’t traverse the ruts. It was going to be an exciting day!
Those of you that have been on this trail remember the creek crossing at the trailhead. The cute creek had turned into a raging river. Aaron stuck his tires in first to test it out, and although it looked scary, it was totally safe to cross.
The trail had changed drastically since the rain, as you will see below. Look in the rocky wash photo for a busted trail sign! The last few photos are of the condo we rented. We sure were glad we did too, with such unlucky weather. It was a great last run of the trip, and it sure was tough to pick everything up and head home.
