Definitely gonna need to change the top springs on the rear shocks. Way too stiff.

What weight? I have a few 10" springs if they will work.

Most obvious reason is more capacity. Weight distribution, clearance (axle to tank), room in the back for gear, and just a inane desire to be different. I wouldn't recommend doing this; it's a lot of work. But so far the reward seems to be worth it. Time will tell.

The Rat is back on the trails and crawling better than ever. I worked out a lot of kinks and with the exception of 5 little point that need to be fixed it did fantastic. The big assed gas tank is awesome. The needle never moved off full all day long. THe suspension cycles soo much better than before, no dirt or mud flying in the cab through the old holes in the fenders. I couldn't be happier.
Now, where are those new axles at???
