More stuff...
We're at the point where a lot of littler tinkery-type stuff gets done. This weekend we re-installed the driveline with new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, fork, etc. Installed a hydraulic master/slave setup for the clutch. Ran some more fuel and brake lines. Painted the engine. Started a new set of billet door hinges.
Rolled a bead in thsi peice of sheet metal to make a saddle clamp for the steering column.

Had to make a pivot pin for the new actuator ram of the clutch master cylinder. Found some roll pins at the local metal supply that fit the bill.

Put the pedal tree back together and in the tub

Drilled a 1.5" hole in the firewall next to the Hydroboost for the clutch master and installed it.

Also went through the wiring harness, getting ready to install. There will be some long nights one weekend soon getting this snake pit figured out. Now we wait for some more parts for the suspension/steering, drive shafts and some other stuff. I'll be doing more finish work on the body a get her ready for paint in a couple of weeks.[CENTER][COLOR=#ff0000]Resistance Off Road

Steering time again. Changed to the Reid knuckles so a few changes are in order. Looks like some beefy steering for the CJ.

Tried two different ways of making the corners look integrated to the tub. The old CJs have a specific contour around the top ledge of the tub that makes it difficult to make the aluminum corners look like they belong. The first was using 1" square tube to fill the gap. Nice, but the second way I like much better. Will be cutting 3/16" aluminum sheet metal to make a top cap that will bolt to the tub and completely cover the gap in a nice, clean manner. Here is the template ready to go:

Damn. It's been a long time since the last post here. Back in July I had knee surgery, then I moved to the new RAM Offroad location in Pinon Hills. So Nickie's CJ has been sitting under a tarp. But we're finally back at it. I'll be posting progress on this build as we go. Lots of changes to come. Like a new engine (per the wifey) and lots of other goodies. Some of the custom parts used on Nick's CJ are available at RAM Off road as well. Check it out at www.ramoffroad.us . Yes, a shameless plug...[CENTER][COLOR=#ff0000]Resistance Off Road
