Nice matchup vern! If you don't mind i'll post it up on the matchups page. I heard there are some guys running DC today. I wonder how things worked out for them?

They should be well cooked by now, will be interesting to see their pictures!
Vern,
Thanks for the cool recon work! Recognized the exo-skeleton 4runner. I think that's Don B, from SD4Wheel. The other's I'm not sure of. Good sized group. Did I see some towing? Getting a little late in the day.

If it wasnt so hot I might of stuck around and snapped some from the canyon top. It was pretty toasty today.
There was 4 trucks with trailers at mountain springs. I guess they seen the pictures of us eh?
Bob, Thanks for the post again. I know I speak for vern when i say that we do feel a sense of pride in developing that area and seeing its rise in popularity. Glad you all made it out safe and sound reporting that you had a good time. That's what this is all about.
This is interesting. There was times that this trail was so washed out that the wagons went into Mexico to cross over.
Geoge Kropp just sent me a map his club thinks where this other Stage trail route is. I talked to some of the locals here and they said yes there is a trail in that location but not used.
The location is about 50 miles south of this trail. The trail also could be the older Sonora to pacifc coast indian trail of 200 to 400 years ago and later passed over by the Spanish.
I've seen the parts of the trail from the MX toll road but thought nothing of it. That canyon looks far nastier then this one...but waits to be seen.
