Is the ghost town north or south of Barstow?
The gps coordinates are showing a place south or Barstow.

My map program shows the ghost town north of barstow.

Also, we are interested in some stickers and decals.

My parents are thinking about coming down from Vegas. They have a motor home and a Jeep. Nothing too radical for them though.

Directions To Calico

Forget the GPS coords. This is the easiest place to get to in the world.

Calico is north of Barstow. You take "Ghost Town Road" exit, and head toward the giant white letters in the mountain that say CALICO (take a left, if you're coming from the south or LA area)

Like Tammy said, pass Calico, you will see this:


Take a left after that. If you reach the freeway you missed it. Head straight in, and you WONT MISS US.

We will be doing Doran and Odessa for sure...maybe explore some of the others. Most of us take the bypass for Lower Doran.

If I remember correctly WLD, we will be running it the opposite direction as your recent trip, starting at Doran and coming down Odessa.

As for shirts sizes, I think two larges will be fine. Just about any color other then green is good.

I am hoping to have my jeep lifted by then, but it is not looking good.
Can the trails be run with a stock jeep. I should at least have my new warn bumper and winch on though.

The trail can be run stock, but rocker damage (if you dont have protection) is almost a given.
