May 18th-20th weekend in Calico!

Supposed to be here this week, but they are waitin on parts for the rebuild. Not too worried about getting it that week, misty will just about be done working before having the kid, so I can leave the jeep laid up while I wait for a new drive shaft to be built after I get the thing swapped in.

I figure that once everyone who's planning to arrive Friday evening gets there and gets unpacked, we'll head out on a night run. Then, if anybody is arriving Saturday morning, plan to be there and ready to roll out around 9:30.

We'll be camping out just off Doran Scenic Road near the Calico Ghost Town. Here's the address for the ghost town:
36600 Ghost Town Road Yermo, CA 92398
Look for the giant wooden cowboy that marks this address then hang left onto Doran just a short distance later. We'll be camped along there somewhere before the turn to gatekeeper. I'm in a silver TJ with white doors.

Also, if everybody can help bring wood we can get a nice fire going both nights, though it seems it's going to be a pretty toasty weekend.

I'll be on CB channel 4 once I get up there.

I should be arriving sometime Friday afternoon. I'll probably end up camping out....last I heard from Gary is that he would know more by wednesday....he said it might get too hot for his mangina.

85 on saturday i believe is the last time i checked.....and if i'm there the whole weekend i need my pops there the whole weekend.

Reading back on page two about pucker pass. Lol. Anyone on here climb the side of that with TJ? Can it be done? I've seen stretched jeeps, and toyota's climb it but not a stock wheelbase TJ yet.
