We are planning on being there.
I may be willing to lead a run. I just don't know if I want to lead an easy, moderate, or difficult run. What would everyone like to have for organized runs?

Gate keeper offcourse. That is the most fun part of all of Calico. Planning on heading out Saturday afternoon after work.
It would be nice to have a bit more organization for runs. Have a few set Odessa, Doran and Wall street runs kinda timed for less of a cluster depending on who all wants to join the fun.
A visit to the mine at the end of Odessa is a must also that thing is way cool

Never been to Calico are there runs of all kinds? I think at the moment I am in the moderate and open class… I know the family would like to see the Mine for sure is that an easy trail (my wife is an un-easy wheeler) lots of gasps and grabbing and white knuckling for her. But she likes the easy stuff that leads to caves/mines and other cool stuff.

Calico mostly has difficult and easy trails, but there are several bits that fit into the moderate range. I have always been focused on the tough stuff, but recently I started looking around at the other things in the area and there are some interesting bits of history around Calico. Most of them can be reached with a stock 4WD.
