Tin Benders was a blast. Unfortunately, I broke a rear axle shaft on Friday. So, I was a passenger, on the Saturday run. I had my GoPro with me, got some great video. Link to my video below. Can't wait to do it again, next year.
Spooners is fun. Last Saturday we ran down Spooners, up Outer Limits and then ran Hwy 19 and 20.
Sounds like I need to go up with you. I don't know where any of the trails, that aren't right off the lake bed, are.
I was good to meet you Rich. Hope we can hit the trail, some time. Thanks again, for helping get my radio set up. It's one of the only things the worked out, better then expected, that weekend.

Well, it's been awhile since I've done anything, to my rig thats been worth writing about. After my wheel'n trip to AZ, back in Arpil, I learned one of the biggest weaknesses about my buggy. Fuel Delivery. My Suzuki 1.6L is carbureted. I never had any issues, while wheeling, in JV. But In AZ I spent a lot more time with my nose pointing at the sky, or on my side wedged between a rock and a hard place. A lot of the time I could have gotten my self out of these situations, but my zuk wouldn't stay running. So, when I got home, I started researching. The 2 best options to solve my problem, were fuel injection, or a propane conversion. Grafting a later model FI on to my engine was not gonna be fun. A lot of issues with a computer, and wiring, to consider, and there's always reliability issues. So I decided to go with the propane conversion. I contacted Got Propane in AZ, and they got me set up. The following is what I've done so far, and where I'm at now.
Everything I need for it install is in the box. I decided to go with a 10gal bottle.
An idea of the mess I started with.
Carb and a lot of vacuum lines removed. I called Got Propane about all the extra vac lines. His answers, when in doubt, rip it out. LOL
Here's the regulator, mounted on the fire wall. Note, the battery has been removed, to make room. At this point, I decided to relocate the battery.
The Mixer in place.
Here is everything under the hood, all hooked up. It's a very simple set up. You can see the fuel line coming up into the filter>solenoid
>regulator. A single line to the mixer, as well as 2 waterlines.
Then I got started in the back. I had to remove the fuel cell and figure out how/where to mount the tank. This is what I started with. Cooler and tool, behind the seats. The large tool box, in the middle, is used for storage, and the fuel cell, out back.
Test fit of the tank.
After removing everything, I had a ton of real estate. The sky's the limit. LOL
Here is where the tank will sit.
Having an expanded steel floor is really great, at times. No drilling required. You can see the fuel line below the floor, where it comes thru the floor, and the connector for the tank.
Necessity is the mother of invention. I needed to get the fitting into the vice to put the fitting on the hose. It wouldn't reach. So, this is what I came up with. I just think stuff like this is cool.
So, as it sits, it's ready for a test fire. I just need to hook up the propane, and a battery. There are still quite a few finishing touches to get to. I'll post as I get things done.
Looks like good quality parts are used.
Make sure the LPG tank's 'feed-line' is up at the top position. Otherwise you feed liquid LPG to the eng and not the 'gas'.
