when i find the front one... apparently they are not that common. i see them for sale in la all the time or in sf so soon i might just have to bribe a friend with a pick up and drive 4 hours for one.

oh and im welding it all real tight then grindin smooth then re welding any pits if their are any and repeating should be a good seal... but im still ganna red kote it, which seals up to 1/16" holes which should not even be their but it will be peace of mind. im coating it twice.

its priced like a 78 but its a later model... the drivers side tube is too short and the other is a dodge which means passanger drop

How do the welds turn out with pure CO2 sheilding gas?

well i have welded on both and i will say the mis does look better... and is easier... but i would like to master co2 becuase it does after all get better penatration. you can tell its a deeper burn.

there is absolutly no reason to run straight co2, unless you like shitty looking welds. go back to the mig mix.

i know the baffles look a lil sloppy. truth is their not. they fit like a glove with the corners snipped. but i wanted the edges to only touch in a coupls spots for spot welds so i ground them down quite a bit. the kote will fill some in and make all my gas flow holes a bit tinier. rest i wanted for a lil flow.

number 2 will be recessed so the pick up hits just right. plus then the cover i make can rest on the top flush and not hit the lines
