    Hello fokes,

Met up with some new friends last weekend to wheel JV. It was my first time to JV, but these other guys have been up there alot. We Camped 2 nights and ended up running Jack, sleg and claw hammer. Then finished up with after shock. My currie tie rods were the only thing I wrecked(well, my girlfrend wrecked). Had a great time.

    Jesse,

Bent as hell currie tie rod

It's fairly simple, girlfriend drove center balljoint into a rock. The alinment was out by 4". I first had to put the winch on it to get sort of strait. Then I was able to give it a half a$$ alinement. Where the Tie rod meet at the center balljoint it's still tweeked, but it working. It's all so ugly.

            Jesse,

Thanks for fixing my pics. I'm still trying to figure out how to do that.

so i thought currie steering was suppose to be unbendable.

I think someone told me they are hollow. is this true? I can see in the pic that it is bent pretty good. How fast was your GF driving!! LOL

                          Why would you think that?

No, the kit is not hollow. It is solid chromolly and heat treated enough so that it's tough enough to bend and flex without being brittle enough that it breaks doing so.

                            Front end

She was moving at 1, maybe 2 mph. The problem is we were going down jack. Some of the drop offs are killer.
