good points nailer. i can't stress enough: WATER - drinking, washing your hands, cooking, coffee, etc. always have plenty of water and sunscreen.

Hm, sounds like fun. I just got back from borrego during the rain, it was great, although all jeepers made it through, the Land Rover got stuck and we had to pull him out haha.

I borked something on my jeep, and being the mechanical wiz I am, I have no idea what it is. So, I have to take it in to get looked at. Need to rebuild my AX5 also. Maby i'll see you guys out there.

It sounds like fun though. I have a daugther that will be 12 the week after TDS, and don't worry, I'll make sure she's around stuff that's no crazier than PG-13...

I'll post gps coordinates of the area we have used for camping. It should be available again this year. I'll be headed down on Thursday to get the spot.

I guess another stupid question would be, if we're going on our own runs, why do we have to pay the TDS-San Diego club? Are we doing thing as well? do they provide outhouses? just curious... I think we are going to make this run.

We do it for the Saturday night raffle. About $70,000 worth of gear is given away. You can't win if you don't pay. Only 1 ticket per entry.

There are porta-potties. They start out nice and sweet smelling. Near the end you dont want to go near them.

Cell phone reception is almost non-existant out there. Make sure you know where youre going before you get there...its a sea of people and camp sites.
