By the way well setup Jeeps with bigger tires do a lot less damage then Jeeps with smaller tires that have to try and bump over stuff digging out the holes right before ledges and what not. We just drive up and over, maybe not as exciting but easier on the trail and a lot easier on the equipment is all win in my book

By the way we have been missing out on your bitching videos Chucky

You don't need anything larger than 35s (didn't?) to crawl that obstacle given hard lockers and proper gearing. You just need to get on the right line, and not fall into the hole. That's not that exciting either I guess.

Tlhe gatekeeper is 4 minutes of pure excitement lol

Never said it couldn't been done with 35's, you seem to have a problem with Jeepers that have somewhat tires
Has been my observation that the guys with smaller tires and open diffs do cause more trail erosion, than the guys with bigger tires and lockers. You want to tell me I am wrong about that?
Everytbody has the same right to be on a trail, but it does matter how much damage we do to it while running said trail

All size tires dig big holes. Just the way it is.

OK, seems we are talking about two completely different topics. My statements were based on one specific obstacle, gatekeeper at calico, which isn't even an option without hard lockers front and rear. So... commenting on open diffs and small tires on the trail, in general, is something totally different. Show me a guy who drives up to gatekeeper with 31s and a limited slip and I will show you a moron.

Secondly, let's specify what was a "normal" Jeep to me... 35s, beadlocks, ARBs, Atlas, aloy axles, ctms, fox shox, warn winch. So no, I have nothing against folks with built rigs. I guess between tire size and skill, you picked the wrong part of the statement I made. If I had to pick someone to hate it would be people without talent. If you can't sing, don't try and record an album. If you can't weld, don't get into fabrication. If you can't dance, (me) just don't do it. If you can't grasp the finesse of piloting your rig though difficult terrain, find another hobby.

and we all know "that guy", didn't he drive a green yj??? :yay:

But wouldn't erosion make the rocks smaller???

Sadly, I am going to have to miss this run. I have surgery scheduled for the 16th to fix my back.
                              Hopefully next year.

Well crap. We should just cancel IDTT and all park our Jeeps around whatever hospital you'll be in. Seriously Erik, I hope and pray all goes well with the surgery.
