A few of you helped me realize I didn't have much uptravel in my rear suspension during this trip. I spent some time under my YJ last night... just staring at the rear suspension. Yes, I only have about 1.5" of up travel before the bumps are compressed. I have about 4-5" of space above the rear truss for the axle to move up. The shocks only have about 2-3" of up travel before they are fully compressed. It looks like the best solution for my lil YJ is to notch the frame and add shock towers and outboard the shocks, cut the frame and install the bump stop holder brackets into the frame itself. If I go that far should I just keep going and remove the coil springs and go with king Coilover reservoirs and be done with it? I should have probably just done this last year when we did the stretch in the first place... thoughts??
