Okay, what's the trick to getting these doors off? On my buddy's Jeep, they just lifted out, mine feel like they are pinned in permanently! I have a set of BestTop half doors with the canvas cargo pouches and stuff, but I can't get the origionals off! Hmmm...what are you guys doing about mirrors?

        Removing Your Top & Doors

I have an older CJ7 and I just removed the top & doors now that the weather permits it. My mirrors are mounted on the window hinges. If your doors are removeable, your owner's manual should have instructions.

          Signing up for Saturday's Run

I like to make up a check in roster off the list of those who said they are attending. That way we are sure everyone arrived safey and I check it mid day to make sure no one got seperated and or lost.

So you "maybe" guys, as soon as you can confirm one way or the other, please update the calendar accordingly.

If there is anyone else that is planning on going, please sign up on the calendar as soon as you can.

And thanks Mitch for the updated weather informaion.

Thanks everyone! It should be a great day!

Don't the doors have a scew under the hinge that has to be removed.

There are some nuts that need to be removed (one per hinge). If they are already removed and the doors are still hard to come off, it is most likely because they were never removed. Grab the door with one hand forward and the other at the bottom. Rock the door back and forth while pushing up. It is going to take some force, but when you get near popping them off, take it easy so not to scrape your paint. Before putting them back on, rub some grease on the pins to make it much easier next time. If you prefer, gently squirt some WD40 before using brute force to remove them.

Well my friend Chris is afraid to scratch his $45,000 grocery hauler, so I'll be solo. Chuck are you willing to be my spotter on Heartbreak Ridge? I think I'm ready.

                      Here you go:

Take I-15 north to Bear Valley Rd.

Go east on BV Rd until it ends and merges into Hwy 18.

Continue east on Hwy 18 into Lucerne Valley. In the very center of town is the Valero Gas station on your right. If you come to the four-way stop, you've gone too far.

If you have a CB, we'll be on ch 04.

Allow 40 to 45 minutes driving time from I-15 to the gas station.

PM me if you want my cell number.

Okay Mitch, does this mean you can stop along the way for the sights?

                          Adventure (Tax) Pass

Just to remind everyone, you should have an adventure pass (read tax). More than likely we'll be stopping within the forest boundry.

The market in Lucerne Valley sells them. They open very early, so if you want to get one, you should come a little eary.

                              Scott,

Thank you for the spot and I'm glad to run with you again.

                              Roger,

I can stop anywhere you want to! Don't forget that Chuck has all the waypoints and sights on his trick GPS. This should be a great run.
