    O.o
Can't you stuff 30's under a STOCK Jeep?
I ran 29's with a stock suspension and never rubbed on my old YJ. Granted 31's ARE quite a bit larger than 29's, but a lot of the TJ's around here run 1" coil spacers front and rear and don't rub unless you max out the flex. I'd jsut suggest replacing the dampers like everybody said if you go with a 1" spacer.
    WTF Mate?

but um....... how exactly do the pucks fit onto the leafs
Yeah.. That's a good point. I looked into it and it seems there isn't a BB for the YJ. Bastards. Well.. maybe I can modify what I have to get better articluation. I guess i should try to figure out what I have. Would anyone here be able to tell if I took pics from underneath? Also, I took a look at BigBear online... looks cool! You should be excited. I'm actually going to LittleCub in August. It's a wicked cool wheeling spot for the beginner. Im going in my YJ and my wife is going in her Dodge Neon, just in case I get stuck.

If i read this right this gives up a better height for a YJ...like I said though i dont know much about YJs. looks fairly cheap too

Thanks KNC.. yeah that would do the trick for me, great price. But with that height my insurance will drop me. They say it phucks with the center of gravity so much that its no longer insurable under their policy. I've been looking around alot and figure Ill just have to save up for a nice OME 2.5inch lift for YJ's - or something like that. What I have will work a little in the meantime. Regardless of suspension.. Im really thinking about a trip to that park you suggested - It looks really cool.

Yes! I may not be able to tell, but I bet others here can. Anyways, we all love to see everyone's Jeep and you seem to have been hiding yours. Show us some pics Dude!

For underneath, make sure you show where the leaf springs attach.

I put 31's on my yj with just 2 inch shackles. That is an option.

I ran 31s with 2 inches of lift on my cj5 for years, and for a year on the TJ with 2 inches. Was a great setup on both

I'm hiding mine... because... IT'S BABY BLUE!!!!!
I have an air compressor in my garage and sandpaper however, so this will be blue for not much longer.
It has a white top. That's right.. I said a white top. I'm going to paint that top black. I drive a baby blue jeep with a white top. I'm going to pass out... (breathe in... breathe out..)

Anyway, so here is the Jeep and follwing are pictures of my suspension. Front of the front; rear angle of the front; front angle of the rear; and rear angle of the rear. Does that make any sense? It wouldnt to me if I didnt write it, so good luck. And thanks for any imput of what type of susp it is.

hey fellow canuck, your jeep looks sweet the paint is minty, don scrub that off, she looks great, i would say its more of a metalic blue. why do u want 31s? your tires look prettyy big and still good. i ran stock tires for a long time, and did just fine, i only wheel mud, seeing as im from manitoba, i recently picked up some canucky tire 235/75/15s mud and snow ruoughriders, they work great, and i didnt have to lift at all, its amazing what even 2 sizes over stock can do for look and performance.
just my 2 cents, good luck

IMHO, the best set up for a 2.5" lift for 31" tires would be an Old Man Emu lift kit for a YJ. Quality parts, good flex, and simple.

This is a spring over setup. This is just the parts to put the springs OVER the axles. You then have to change your steering to a high knuckle set-up, put in a slip yoke eliminator on the transfer case with a new driveline. This does not include the labor to put everything on. Total cost around $1500 just for parts not including labor. Do yourself a favor buy some lift shackles 1.5" should do the trick and wheel it. Don't worry about a little fender rub you'll end up putting tube fenders on anyway when you get the wheeling bug.

Iam a fellow cunuck as well, i run 31's with no lift. i see no need for it since its mainly mud around here aswell. unfortunatly i dont run mud tires i wish i woulda kept the ones off my XJ before i sold it

mmmkay...this thread has like more info than anybody ever gave me when i had my YJ, but that's ok. Anywho i agree witht he two inches of lift. THAT, or go with a 1.5" shackle lift, and then put some 1" body spacer on it. If you're riding primarily mud, you'll want the spacers...trust me. It'll raise the tub up off the frame so that when you wash the Jeep it makes it easier to get between the body and the frame...but that's just my Two Cents.

BTW, I live in alabama, we have a mixture of both in the northern part of the state...woohoo rocky trails that are really muddy...go figure O.o
