I have a 2in bb too with 31s..getting ready to put 32s or get a 1.25 motor mount and body lift and do 33s. I know a lot of guys running that too.

you can see what my jeep looks like here http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2515197 all the pictures with the rubicon moab wheels are with the 2" BB

I know nothing about Yjs though..isnt that what you have? Do they make BBs for those?
Just trying to get to Cali!

Thanks, I think I can go with bigger tires next and eventually change out the BB to a OME lift. Won't go much higher, I already can't check the oil without standing on the rim.

He's sitting with me right now by the way and didn't appreciate that..

So this is the set up I should start with as I am really just getting started in the wheeling world and am somewhat (completely) broke. And I am only 15 years old. And sometimes I lie.
Speaking of bringing wildlife in the vehicle with you... as you can see from my avitar - I have a very friendly puppy that loves all. You should pet her. Does anyone have any decent methods of securing larger puppies into the rear of a jeep? Whenever I put her in the back without the roof, she keeps on falling out when I corner at high speeds. One of these days Im going to get into trouble. I don't want that. So if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
I was thinking of getting a harness and creating some sort of perfectly lengthened bungy cord up to the middle of the roll bar. I donno. I took out my rear seat. (Why did I tell you that? I have no idea. but that doesn't change the fact that I did.)

Hey Chris, a two inch lift and 31's can do stuff like this:

But since you are in mud country, you might want to get the Jeep up and out as much as possible. If you are shopping for a lift only, look at 4" economy lifts. If you have the budget for tires, go with the biggest and widest M/T tires you can afford. In the muddy areas, you really want float and spin.

I have finally stopped drinking for good.
Now I drink for evil.....

No.. it's okay. I took a magic marker and filled in the corners of my headlights. No one can tell.

Great pics Malachi and blktj. Good to know that I can set up 31's to do that aggressive terrain. I do have 31's now and I even think I have a 2 inch lift, but I dont know what kind and there is nothing to indicate (to me anyway) what type of lift. All I know is that the previous owner had a loud stereo and a lot of chrome (cringe) and no tow hooks. So Im not thinking he had articulation in mind. And plus.. when I put my front right tire on the curb at the end of my driveway so I can take a picture of my awesome flex for you guys, my jeep falls onto her side. Wonder what a curb is on the RTI ramp. Oh and Malachi, thanks for the tips on mud running. My problem is that my insurance said that if I go any higher than I am they will drop me. And Im only paying 600 a year and I am a terrible driver. (maybe the speeding tickets will stop now that im in a 4 banger - I mean, I did have a huge V6 before. ahem.. in a minivanApparently it'll go quite a bit higher if that happens. And I cold just not tell them, but I wouldnt be insured if something did happen. Anyway, thanks though for all the tips and pics. You guys - and gals - all have nice rigs.

Only fifteen and sometimes you lie? ....

I'm brand new to even working on a vehicle, didn't know there was a metric and standard set of wrenches, felt a hammer was the end all do all remover of bolts, had never changed oil in my life..... you get the picture. I've done all the work myself and wheeled some pretty cool trails here in Cali. Started with some simple stuff that gave me fits and moved onto some of the big boy trails a couple months ago.

I'm spending five days in BigBear this August to wheel wheel wheel. Can't wait.

I'm real happy with the BB right now, but I know I'll be changing it out within the year. It was a great jump off point for me, but I like the rocks.

but um....... how exactly do the pucks fit onto the leafs

(oh and I don't take ma dog, she's a puker)

                            thats what i thought! lol

As far as the dog goes...i have a husky..if he sits up front he will sit just like a person...loves it, but when he sits in back I have to loop a leash around the roll bar and strap his ass in...he likes to hang out the side and do weird dog things. Im trying to find a Raingler net to put between the back and front seats. maybe just Raingler nets all the way around to keep his little death defying ass in the jeep!

That is awesome! That would totally keep her in. But I wish I had bought a jeep with a full roll cage - mine's stubby. And I also wish I saw that before I bought the glue - keeps her in though. (Going to try to find one of those nets that drops down on a 45 degree with my roll bar)
