Wow! I have never seen such big wheels on a jeep before.Looks pretty good. I assume you have better axles then dana 44 with that big of a tire. I guess when those tire wear out or the sectioned one lets go you will be stepping back down to a smaller size wheel unless you find another deal on 20" tires again. I am pretty sure you are not going to justify spending $1800 on just tires, I know I wouldnt. These cost less and we both know they are a better tire but I an not sure if they are red lables or blue. If you tow your jeep what does it matter anyway. http://www.onlinetires.com/products/...++n%252Fa.html

Stickies wear out in one season or less. Even with just pure offroading.

I will not be changing tire sizes; I like the 38's. The 20's are ok. It took a little getting used to, but I like it now. edit: and they don't make Krawlers

If thses hold out as well as my Krawlers did, I should get 3 years out of them.

And no, it's a D44 up front. But stuffed full of Warns and CTMs with a Detroit. It's right at the limit of what it can handle, but D60's don't grow on trees, so....

You never cut a crawler sidewall so it seems to me the procomps didnt last as long as the crawlers.I have heard and read nothing but great things about the km'2s and In fact the same materials and technology from the crawlers are built in the km2's. I am more than happy with the great deal I got.

          KM2 report

Well I've had a few runs on my KM2's and so far I'm not to disappointed. I've scraped a few sharp rocks that would have probably punctured my Pro Comps and the KM2's has done great.

As far as grip I have to say that the Pro Comp XTerrain wins hands down. I defiantly had better traction with the Pro Comp.

On the street the KM2 is just as quite as the XTerrain which I like.

I'm happy with the tires but I will say that if Pro Comp ever decides to put 3 ply's in their Xterrain's under 37" I would probably go back. It will be nice to rotate the tires for once since the XTerrains are directional.
          Check out .

I have the Hankook 285/70/17 on my Chevy Avalanche. Quiet tire on the road (first picture). No real complaints yet. I have had them two months now I think. I also have the Maxxis tire 33x12.5x15 (second photo) on the Jeep. Loud on the road. Can't report back about the offroad yet.

While I'm no fan of 4WP's, I did run their Extreme AT's on my F250, mostly because there isn't a large selection in 315x75x16. They turned out to be a really good tire for my needs. They balanced easily, handled well, were quiet and towed my CJ and trailer well. I actually haven't heard much negative feedback on any of the Pro Comp tires.

For me... the KM2's are getting the nod!

Chuck, I am going with the KM2's... after reading everything here and talking to some friends that work for BF Goodrich, I think they are going to best for me... FYI, Goodrich says that compound on the KM2's will soften a little over time and that should add to the traction but not make them wear any quicker...

That's good to know about the compound. If my KM2's had a little more grip it would be an awsome tire. Thanks

Hey chuck what do you air them down too?. I have mine all mounted up ready too go try them out. Hey randy I paid Less than $650 after rebates and price matching for 4 bfg MT KM2's tires & lugs mounted and lifetime balance not to mention they didnt charge me to mount my spare. Unlees you have freinds high up with bfg I dont think anyone can beat that deal. Better hurry I think the rebates end this month.

With my Pro Comps I was airing down to 13 psi but now I'm going down to 11 psi. The sidewall is obviously stiffer with the KM2 and I like a wide track print. Still trying to find the happy point before I loose a bead.

The editing of this thread is complete bullshit. My post was deleted for what reason? I responded to a posted link, and gave my opinion of the tires that I run. Yet there are a dozen posts remaining that do nothing but basically tell people that they made poor decisions with THEIR Jeep and THEIR money because the poster doesn't agree with THEIR tire choice.

I am running Pro Comp Xtreme Mud Terrains and couldn't be happier with them.

It doesn't matter. Nothing was getting accomplished.

As for airing down the tires, I have always aired down to 8 PSI with very good results, on ALL of the tires I have run, from BFG MTs to Goodyear MT/R's to Krawlers to ProComps. It seems to be the right pressure for the rocks. If you're running 8" wheels, you'll blow beads now and then, but I have York OBA, so it's really not that big of a deal to re-seat the bead.

Now that I have 14.50 tires running on 9" wheels, I haven't blown a single bead.

I put 35's on a 10" wheel I hope I didnt make a mistake. Well see how they behave when I air them down. I like the 4" offset it really makes the jeep have a wider stance. look how much they stick out.
