Decent coilovers will help the flex, the front link setup has to go for starters and be replaced with a conventional 3 link. That would help flex and unloading. Then start looking at the rear links. Just fixing the front and some decent coilovers all around will make a big difference

I hear ya Art. I have spent enough this year... so I am just going to deal with it and enjoy what she has to offer for a while
I must say though that MJR has great people. I can't thank Curtis enough for taking the time to go out to Hemet @ 6 am on Monday morning and pick up the used hood and windshield frame and glass I found online. Curtis was even so kind as to take the goods and drop them off at Brother's shop for me so they can be painted my favorite Color: Rustoleum Hammered Finish Black.
Moral of the story is Jeep people are great people who always help each other out. Period. MJR is made up of great people and I am happy I found this site and have built relationships with many of you.
Thank you again Curtis and all MJR crew who have ever helped out another Jeeper in need!

Been a while... my YJ has been down since Labor Day. She is back up and running.... since then:
New Head, body straightened, new transfer case, (back to stock np231 for now), new Griffin radiator and a bunch of minor things. I took her out this weekend. The new engine is amazing now that it is running on all 6 cylinders did 75 mph the whole time at 2500 rpm and averaged 13 mpg... that w 4.88 gears and 37" MTR's and fully loaded
A few pics for old time sake...
the reason i went back to a np231 for now.... the Klune tried to engage at 70 mph on the freeway... kaboom!
a few shots from this weekend:
the engine strong and sounds great thanks to the Borla SS header and flowmaster muffler...
I hope to join yall out there soon. just ordered some new lights for my rack and my light bar should be back this week ))

I almost forgot... I got a new toy this summer... I blew up the engine in my little Saab after 195,000 miles... so i figured why not get something a little nice and fun... that matches my Jeep
don't worry... I kept my Saab... she is getting a new engine in Missouri currently... she should be putting out about 400 hp once I get her back in a few months...

Thanks guys... I am onto my next round of mods for my lil YJ... what do I need now??? Hmmm I know... more lights!!! already ordered and arrived. I will try to show you a before and after. I bought 5 of these LED 6" flood lights bars for only 25 bucks each on amazon prime. The difference is.. well.. night and day I crack myself up:
Current light pod: one LED, 5 Watts about 350 lumen:
new light bar: 6 LEDs, 18 Watts about 1500 lumen:
side by side: on the back of my rack above my spare tire carrier...
view w just the single LED pod on:
view w just the new 6" LED mini bar on:
looking back at the Jeep from about 10 ft away with both the LED pod (left) and new light bar (right) as if you can't see which is which (sorry my phone doesn't take very good pictures of lights):
If you want a set.. here is where I bought them:

tried to go wheeling with the Rough Wheeler's yesterday in El Mirage.... I made it there... my lil YJ did not.... she started losing power and missing horribly on the 15 just north of the 210. A AAA ride back to Brothers and Haik said the roller rocker on number 4 almost dropped a valve. It's not their fault they just installed the head they did not build it. Here we go again:
My friend Kara and I ended up jumping in Mike's JKU. Talk about riding in style.. that thing is nice and did great!

Fyi u can't just take a 4.0 head with roller rockers and "bolt it" on and have it right every time or even 1/2 the time.
They likely did check deck height to start with? And guessing they did not verify the pushrods were the right length.
Should have had a true engine builder build it.
I now have 4 races with a 2nd place in 3700, mixed with many trails and test tuning, on a 4.7 with 10.8:1 comp and no roller rockers. Not one engine issue. I did lean out the first one due to bad o2 sensor placement but in the last 2 yrs not one issue and love it. Keeps up or out accelerates v8s at races.*Ricky Bobby* "I'm on FIRE!"... "I'm on FIRE!"...
