Since it's been hotter than hades, thee hasn't been much going on in thew garage. Picked up some hose and an fittings to rig up fuel tank and engine vent hoses to keep the juice in, in case of the flippy floppy business.
I kinda like the required setup for Ultra 4. No matter how it gets turned the fluid stays in. Thinking about adding a shutoff valve to the pcv hose also. Kinda nice when oil doesn't get in the intake when the world turns upside down. Hurt pride is enough adding to that taking sparkplugs out and making an oily mess is worse yet. So when things cool down a bit later this afternoon its tinker time. Yeah!

Well a 4 feet long plate of 1/16" aluminum is officially a pain in the rear to bend without a sheetmetal brake.
Still making progress, painfully slow, but I like it

Not to displeased so far, could be nicer, but could be a lot worse too

Looks good!
I've used two pieces of angle iron in a vice to extend the jaws, clamped the short side of the workpiece and then pulled/tapped on the long side for an effective hillbilly brake. It's a pain not having the fancy tools.God forgives, rocks don't

Tomorrow's project will be light bar mounts and then on to finishing the hood and making hood pins.
Last night I picked up a 10" double ended cylinder, from a good friend, so I can add a lil more steering angle.
Then about all that remains is rear steer

Roof will stay bare, hood is going to be red
ightbar mounted, gonna hide from the 100 degrees for a few hours, then on to hood mounting.
Almost looks pretty

Hood pins are welded on. Got big washers to pop rivet on the hood.
Need to make some rubber washers out of belt material to keep the whole shebang from rattling like mad.
Pretty happy with it. Gonna clobber some paint on it tomorrow
