You should probably start by hand rubbing a few coats of wax on your wooden garage floor. I can just see you telling everyone to take their shoes off, and no eating or drinking in your garage.

LOL. You like that huh? I figure by the time I'm finished with all the cutting, grinding and welding it will be a pile of melted vinyl in the trash. But it shore looky nice now. Used to be a game room.

Ya know, I seem to remember a story about you painting a fence white one time. Now, how did that tale go...

                  Kurt,

Looks like you're going to have some real fun there! Can't wait to see how it comes out. I know a guy that can help you lighten things up!

                    Kurt,

I don't think you need to raise the engine more than an inch to get a flat belly. You will need to dimple the body to get the tcase raised up enough.

Yep. Gonna cut the floor out and rebuild to accomodate the tcase.

I don't think you'll have to do that either! Just raise the tcase up and see where it hits. Then lower it a little put a socket where it hits and raise the tcase up again and it will dimple the tub perfectly.

It will save you a bunch of time!

Gerald, what kind of advice is that?! I say cut, and then cut some more. Didn't you just post about getting lighter?
Actually I have a lot of things that I didn't mention on here that will be happening, and that floor board is one of them. A simple dimple just won't do.

                            Curtis,
Andrew's rig just scared me, that's all. I'll never be ready for the BIG BOY toys... I've been in the planning stages for well over a year on this thing. If I get it right, you'll barely notice a difference.

                              Kurt,

Set up some bleachers, tap the keg, and have a raffle for the old parts. Then have everyone jump in and you'll be back on the the road real soon. Oh....yeah, call me first if there is anything that will fit on my Jeep!

Got off to a slow start but the momentum is starting to build. Got the Jeep stripped down most of the way and started on the belly skid.

First thing was to make a cross member for the T case.
