Hello, From Northern California by way of Hawaii.
My second XJ. Had an 84 and when it wore out, I bought the 97 new.
Used to be an auto tech (Mazda and Jaguar trained factory tech).
Started making some mild mods on it for the trail. Been at Hollister Hills, and Tahoe area.
Read other forums, mostly technical, for a long time, but just discovered this one.

Feel free to ask me about fixing your XJ.

You should have a lot of places to go up there, man!
I used to work up there, did Federal govt. road work up the road to Granite Creek (past Mammoth Pools Reservoir). Nice area.

A lil about this Polar Bear

Hi everyone... I am also new to the sprot. I picked it up with a friend in april 06.. and now I have myself a new toy to play with.. a '99 TJ. Its pretty stock but gimme a week or two and you should see me out there... Ok a lil about myself now...

I was born in Switzerland and travelled between there and Saudi Arabia until i came to Long Beach, California in 1999 for college. I graduated in 2005 and proceeded to persue my masters degree (which is still underway).

So here I am.. eager to fix up my rig and join u guys for some fun... I should warn you though... If anyone lacks energy... I have plenty to spare for 4 or 5 people so feel free to ask if u need a boost...

I guess I should have introduced myself a while ago.. I'm from Silver Lakes, and for you all that don't know that might as well be Barstow...

I lived in Kodiak and still have land there, buy my honey is a california girl, so I gotta stay and play... hence the Jeep!

Been wheelin' for about 17 years now, started out wheelin' a 1973 Mustang but I kept getting stuck so I upgraded to a 84 Hyundai 4 door but I still got stuck. so I went to a 87 Mitsubishi mighty max then a 87 ford ranger and now I have this '91 YJ.

I have put more money than sense into this darn Jeep.

But I love it so.
