            I moved here from a cooler (not colder, like yourself) climate. The most amusing thing to me my first year here is that the Palm Trees are decorated with Christmas lights!

            I did my first Christmas shopping in shorts and a tank top... You just gotta love it!~

              i wear shorts when its like 10 degrees...my part of the country has an 80 degree climate swing. 40+ in the summer -40 in the winter. best of both worlds

                    I would think it would be cheaper to fly here and rent a jeep. Insure it to the max and give it hell, return it and walk away.:dunno:

                              I just google searched jeep rentals. There are a few here is san diego, ca. Not sure where you are planning on going, Here is a link with some choices.

                              Kinda' like the one in Moab Utah. Cliffhanger rentals. maybe a little pricy
