Sweet . . . Thanks ReconZJ! I guess I can disconnect without the quick discos, but have heard it's a pain. As far as picking lines, etc . . . I would absolutely appreciate any help you guys would offer. I'm definately a rookie at this point, but hopefully not for long!

Simple if you have the right tool(s). I'll bring a separator for the upper link if you want, or we can just find somewhere to tie it.

Hey Schmo, you can just disconnect the top of the sway bar then tie them up out of the way.I did it a few times ,It just takes a little longer..By the way my freind I too am new to all this about 10 months under my wheels now..I wheeled with a 73 c-j-5 ump teen years ago but I can,t count that ..lol.Geeb

          Thanks Guys,

Honestly, at this point I'm pretty clueless as to what all's up under there so I brought my biggest socket set and some other misc. tools. I've also got some bungies, duct tape, and a wire hanger . . . growing up watching MacGuyver has lead me to believe that anything can be acomplished with these three items!

Sandy - If you could bring the separator, that would be cool!

          See ya in the morning,

Let's leave on time (6:15am)! I don't know a single one of the people that we're supposed to meet in Acton so let's make sure that we're not late. I have no idea whether they are typical late folks or if they will leave without us. See ya in the morning.

Sandy, I'm going to try to join you in the morning. BTW, I wheeled with this same group last fall. So that you'll know what they look like, here's a link to the pictures

                  Russ,

Glad you made it home tonight. I admire your energy after Pilot Rock and Dishpan today, going again in the morning.

Geeb, not sure if you came up this morning to meet us. We couldn't reach you on cb channel 37 and we didn't have a cell number. We waited until 6:20am before leaving. Sorry if you did come up.

H1 going through the v-notch at Last Chance Canyon

This thread that originally started as a Rowher trail run morphed into a Last Chance Canyon run! It was a long, hot day, and since I was about 24th in the line, I had a long wait at some of the obstacles, but watching this H1 attempt the v-notch made it all worthwhile.

                        Only minor damage:

Hey Russ . . . AWESOME video, I was hoping that someone would post some cool pics of the trip, but the video of the H1 taking the notch is incredible! I had a great time and hope to meet up with you guys again soon.

                            Last Chance Canyon - July 15, 2007

This was a combined HummerXClub, Adventure4x4, and MJR run. The MJR participants included Sandy (Sandy R), Gary (ReconZJ), Joe (Schmo) and myself. Geeb (Geebo) was going to attend, but he was MIA.

It was hot (over 100 degrees) and dusty. Here are few of the vehicles on the run. From front to rear, unknown black H3, Brandon's black TJ (Adventure4x4), Jeff's white XJ (Adventure4x4), unknown yellow H3, Barbara and Terry's black TJ (Adventure4x4), Joe's black Rubi (schmo), Sandy's white ZJ (Sandy R) and Gary's green ZJ (ReconZJ):

Sandy was the first the try the V-notch:

Then Barbara drove the V-notch with her husband, Terry spotting:

Then Ron ran his Hummer through (see earlier post for the video):

Finally, Brandon (Adventure4x4) ran his TJ through, but I didn't get a picture of it.

After the V-notch, Joe (schmo) climbed this ledge in his black Rubi:

This is Gary (ReconZJ) on the ledge:

And Eric (Adventure4x4) on the ledge. For more "extra credit" he decided to take the rock, too:

During lunch, a few of the rigs made a short loop run for "extra credit" over the hills just to the west of the lunch stop:

After lunch, we ran over to the Dutch Cleanser Mine.

This is the view to the east from the Dutch Cleanser Mine:

And then to Burro Schmidt's Tunnel:

We exited via Mesquite Canyon and aired up upon reaching Randsberg Road:
