Well, I might have lucked out and found a cheap fix for my ZJ's overheating problem. Looks like my radiator cap was bad. I'll check it out tomorrow and drive it to work.

If that's the fix, I may join you guys. Let you know tomorrow.

Wouldn't that be great if it's just the cap?

I hope you can make it! I'll keep my fingers crossed that the new cap does the trick!

Geeb, I look forward to running with you again. Last Chance is supposed to be a moderate trail. Moab was great, as usual. See you Sunday am.

Hey Guys, if we want to run with the group beginning in Acton we need to be there at 6:30am. I would prefer to run with the organizers so I know we're at the right place at the right time. Accordingly, I want to be ready to leave the Sand Canyon exit Chevron by 6am. Hope this works OK for anybody that wants to caravan up with me.

UPDATE: the leaders are now leaving Acton at 6:45am so we can sleep another 15 minutes. We're back to being ready to leave Sand Canyon exit Chevron by 6:15am.

Hey Guys, I'm excited about the run on Sun and looking forward to meeting everybody and hitting the trails together! I just bought my Rubi like 2 months ago, so I'm definately new to all of this, and have yet to buy all of the accessories, not to mention upgrade my rig. I'm going to try to get out on Sat and pick some things up and wanted to see if you guys, being local, knew of any good places to go. I would like to pick up a CB, HiLifts, JKS Quicker Diconnects, Tow Strap, etc. Any suggestions?

For the cb, I would go to Frys or somewhere like that. High lift, tow strap etc- you will likely need a 4WD shop- 4 Wheel Parts is ok I guess, you can also try Offraod Unlimited in Burbank (they have a new manager and fired all the yahoos over there. The Inland Empire folks seem to really like 4 West- not sure where it is.

You can probably get by without any of this stuff on your first run, as it is likely carried by others in your group.

                            Hope that helps.

JC Fab & Design in Sylmar probably has everything too. The owner (Jim) is a good guy who has built his Rubicon into an awesome machine. They're located right on Sierra Hwy near where the 5 and 14 meet and they're open Saturdays. Their address is 22117 Sierra Hwy.

EDIT: IF YOU GO HERE, CALL THEM FIRST TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE WHAT YOU NEED.

You could try the 4 wheel parts store, the one closer to you would be the one sepulveda (van nuys), between rosco and sherman way, for the cb i would go to fry's, the have one in canoga park. Have fun!.
