Russ, hope you can make it Sunday. Sorry to be a PITA again but The Event Calendar just  me. In post #54 it was discussed that we would go in the Sierra Hwy side but the Event Calendar has us going in Bouquet Canyon. Personally, I'd rather go in the Bouquet Canyon side as the Event Calendar directs us but I'm not sure that is what's agreed.
Sandy, sorry 'bout that. I changed the directions and the map to show the Sierra Highway entrance to the OHV area, the airdown area and the trailhead.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune on the Lookout trail. Glad you were able to get down it alright. I don't know if we will be doing that trail since a few people that are planning on coming are open.
Plenty of stock rigs and rigs with open diffs have made it up and down both trails, I can attest to that. Take your time and crawl up the steep parts. If you try to power your way up, you run the risk of tipping over or breaking something.

Just got done backing some important stuff, ya' know, smoked oysters, ritz crackers, tabascoe sauce. Did'nt get a chance to to mount a cb in my XJ so I'm bringing a regular walkie talkie, hopefully someone else with a cb and frs radio can transfer any important info for me. Could always get out of the jeep and yell too.
If you have a magnetic antenna and cable, I could bring you my extra CB that will plug into the cigarette lighter. Its from my DD, so it wouldn't have an antenna, but if someone had one and a cable you are welcome to it.

P.S. Yelling works too.

Eleven rigs made the Rowher Trail run on April 22, 2007. We aired down at the Rowher OHV staging area before heading to the trail. From left to right,

SAR Jeeper, white CJ-7

Jumpjet, champagne WJ
It will take me a few days to upload the rest of my videos and finish my report, meanwhile, I can show some pics of the carnage on this run:
We winched Paul's rig to level ground and replaced the u-joint caps and he drove it off the trail, but his rear diff was making strange noises, so he had his rig towed the rest of the way home.
