Sorry to hear about your misfortune on the Lookout trail. Glad you were able to get down it alright. I don't know if we will be doing that trail since a few people that are planning on coming are open. Sounds like we are starting out on the Bouquet Canyon side.

This was Rohwer a few winters ago when we were having some heavy rains. Turns to snow at the top. I'm the front jep

Sean, I hope we do start from the Bouquet Canyon side because I like that first climb but from a few posts up it sounds like they want to start from the Sierra Hwy side, which is closer to Denny's.

I would like to go as well. I missed last weekend, but now the Jeep is running. From reading the thread, I still do not have a real clear picture of where and when people are meeting (nor what we are planning to run). I am willing to run most anything, but this will be the first run with the new transfer case.

I'm thinking this: On Sunday, meet at Dennys off the 14 and Sand Cyn around 8-9am, maybe get some grub & coffee, head out no sooner than 10 to wait for any straglers, go up the sierra side cruise around the top, go down the (Bouquet) side or some can take the bypass down to Bouquet Cyn because it is a little steep. Then come up the Bouquet side because I know some of you want to do that and it is a fun climb, then we can go down to the sierra side to leave or some that live north can leave from the Bouquet side. Thats my [humble] suggestion from my experiences going their.

Sounds like a good plan that accommodates all. There are also lots of eateries (Saugus Cafe, IHOP)on Bouquet Canyon through Saugus if Denny's was the main reason to meet near Sand Canyon and the 14. Either way I think your suggestion addresses all of our quirks.

I'll admit being a little partial since I'm coming from the south. I don't see why a group could'nt meet in the Saugus area if that be more convinient but I fear throwing a monkey wrench into logistics.

Sounds like a great plan Paulhead. I was watching it get crazy and thought I better let someone else who knows the area make the calls.

Seems to me that you should be at Denny's by 9:45 if you want to go with us, otherwise catchup later. ( I do like iHop) haha, maybe for dinner. )

Anyways, was thinking, should we have a roll call to get an idea of numbers? Seems like its getting bigger, which is great, biggest ride I've ever been on.

                          ROLL CALL:

                          #1 cjarnesen - CJ
                          #2
                          #3
                          #4
                          etc.

                          P.S. Is roll call lame?

                          I'm done now.

CJ, I need to work on my rig on Saturday; if I get everything done, I'll join you on Sunday. Meanwhile, I added the event to the calendar.

Russ, hope you can make it Sunday. Sorry to be a PITA again but The Event Calendar just  me. In post #54 it was discussed that we would go in the Sierra Hwy side but the Event Calendar has us going in Bouquet Canyon. Personally, I'd rather go in the Bouquet Canyon side as the Event Calendar directs us but I'm not sure that is what's agreed.
