NOTE: THIS IS ALSO POSTED ON THE VETERAN'S DAY RUN RUN ON THE 11th:

Just so there is no confusion:

Veteran's day run on the 11th meets at the Valero Station at 9:00AM
The CB run on the 12th meets at: the corner of Hwy 247 & Camp Rock Rd. at 9:00 AM. Those camping will meet the group at Chicken Rock at 9:15 AM.

I think the best camping spot should be near Chicken Rock. I will be there Thursday afternoon. I will have my White 4 dr 4x4 Nissan Titan, my 25' Dutchman trailer and my black YJ. My Ham call sign is on the sides of the hood: N6UJM.

So please state if you are camping for sure and when you plan on arriving.

      Thanks!

Thanks for the responses. See you soon.
Here is a recent trip through some of the trails. Most of the Toyotas were running 35" tires.

FWIW: I have run most, if not all of the trails in that area, anything with less than 33" tires will have problems.
I ran it in my CJ-7, w/33's and did OK, I am "locked" on both ends and that helped too.

                            Jess,

The next dirt road past the pistachio farm (Comet Rd) is Astral Rd on Google Earth. Turn right and travel east for 2.25 miles and it will put you at Chicken Rock. GPS for C R is 34 29 01.79n 116 49 09.17w

Dzrt Rat, yes, depending on what time we get back from Friday's run, we may not be at camp. Look for my White 4 door Titan with an MJR sticker on the rear bumper, my 25' Dutchman trailer We will be in the vicinity of the GPS Coords Mitch posted above.

Copy and paste the coords into Google Earth and you see that we'll be easy to find. Mitch & I will be checking out the area this Friday and we may be abloe to post coords to where we will set up camp.
