• Trail Run: New Cougar Buttes Trail

Looks like there are a few willing to tackle a new tuff trail. The first is located just north of the CB's. It's a short canyon but promises to be a very popular trail. Great waterfall, ledges and boulders.

From there we can head over to the CB's for another "bunny" trail.

Requirements:
The more equipment the better.
The larger the tires the better.
Otherwise make sure you have a winch.

I was thinking Sat June 11th
9:30 am
Camp Rock & 247

High Desert Round Up is out that way this weekend. The area is new for the event and I've never been out that way before so I don't know if that will impact where you guys are looking to go.

The HDR won't impact where we will be.

Do u guys think a 93' yj with 4.5" lift on 33" would make this trail? Locker in the rear and LSD up front too.

The beauty of Cougar Butts is that if you can't make it up this new trail there area plenty right next to it that you can. Fun place, so if you can go, DO!

The canyon I was wanting to do is about the same difficulty as Wrecking Ball. It has a nice waterfall, plus some Moab ledges, huge boulders and a tricky waterfall at the top. The trail has no bypasses. The only good news would be if it gets too tuff that maybe a few of Art's KH's might stack some rocks.

No one has been up this canyon before, but it is very doable. The trail really requires a minimum of 37's and of course 2 lockers, so I'll be driving the Suburban out, but then again I could be wrong, it might be doable with 35's and a winch.
The plan was to make a Hammer style trail much closer to home.

Mike,

What is the actual day? I need to get my seat requests in ASAP! 37" minimum tire size? Shant (33's) and Curtis (35's) will have a blast. If you go out and pre-walk it again let me know.

Mitch

Maybe after the big riggs go up the canyon we can do another trail for us Dasies.
I fixed the date in the first post
