        • If so, then your turn is coming up Mitch, might as well get it over and done with and scratch that of the bucket list lol

          • I am ready and have thought I was there a few times. Hopefully ready for a slow roll. Curtis keeps an eye out for me! Kurt keeps saying "go slow you should be OK", and you Art always say, "There you go". A man has to know his limitations. Tammy knows the hold on and tuck in and hold on move!

You doubt Roger? Shame on you...

I was too busy standing there in shock to take pictures but there are a lot of them out there I'm sure. Roger was shaken (not stirred) but OK. Everyone pitched in as usual and made it all go smooth.

I'm uploading photos now and will post them as soon as they're ready.

                    • Kurt,

I talked to Roger yesterday. He said that he was fine. As usual, he said everyone was awesome with helping and recovery. Could have been a lot worse places to do that. You guys rock!

                        • The morning was brisk but there was no wind, and the recent rains kept the dust down all day so it was real nice.

The trail from the trail head to the first obstacle is a series of sandy tracks and washes that gains altitude while going through a changing landscape of occotillo, yucca, cholla and beavertail, and of course, pinyon trees.

we made good time to the "squeeze" and then started getting all the jeeps through:

I never worked so hard to get a Jeep through an obstacle. These JKs barely fit! But the paint is in tact...

We moved on to the rock garden, then onto Heart Attack Hill. The rains and erosion have changed this hill since the last time I was here. The lines were different and some took the left side and some took the right...

Looked like the 405 rush hour!

Of course, these trips wouldn't be complete without Mike trying to run me down. Look at the intensity on his face as he lines me up in his crosshairs...

I ran to the top to do some spotting so missed a few shots but there should be plenty of pics to come from some of the others.

We moved on and were planning on heading to the Mud Caves when the last thing I would have ever expected happened. A flop on the last real obstacle on PM. Again, the rain and erosion had worked it's magic on the trails and this obstacle, of which I have no pictures, was no exception. When I went up it, it slid me over to the driver side and into a big hole, made bigger by the rain. I adjusted and went up and then Mike did almost exactly the same thing with a little scarier results, but he made it up. All was going well and I was just coming back down the hill to take pics when Roger went over on his side. That has to be the loudest flop I've ever heard. I swear I thought Roger was going to be squished. But he came up no worse for wear. The Jeep on the other hand, not so much. Some one else will have to post pics. After Chuck got turned around we hooked up his winch (Superwinch, that is) and got the Jeep pulled back on all fours. We cleaned up the mess. All the innards came out (tools, supplies, food) and of course some busted glass. We got it all cleaned up and got the rest of the rigs up the hill as a group of jeeps came up behind us.
