Great shots Mike, when did you get a JK?

SandJunkie, I was at Rock Creek while Mike was just south of me it looks like, but then I crossed the road and hit the White Mountains also. I love three day weekends!

      Rock Creek trail:

My 7 year old daughter. Made it about 4 miles then said she was done ;-)

Heading up Silver Canyon on the east side of Bishop, into the White Mtns

View from halfway up Silver Canyon - Bishop below, eastern Sierra's in the distance. I looked closely, didn't see Mike's silver JK anywhere in this photo:

[COLOR="Blue"]Looks great Nathan, sure was a nice week up there. BTW where is Rock Creek. Looks like you have to hike to that lake.

I've had the JK since Jan of 2007. It works pretty good, but it needs a V8.

Turn left on the 395 about 7 miles north of Bishop, at Tom's Place. Just keep heading up, and you pass a number of campsites. We stayed at East Fork Campsite. They are reservable via ReserveAmerica.com. The road ends at the trailhead to the aptly named Mosquito Flats. The full length of the and all the campgrounds are on the banks of Rock Creek, and the hiking trail is also, mostly. There are about a half dozen alpine lakes all the way up to the pass that leads over to the south. Mengal pass? Something like that.

[COLOR="Blue"]I've been there before now that I think of it. The hiking looks awesome there. It looks like there was a 4x road up through there to the pass at one time. To the east of the paved road there is Sand Cyn. trail that goes way up to some secluded lakes. Trailhead is near Paradise, Ca.

Awesome pics as usual Nathan. We are heading up for a weekend with the jeeps and staying at east fork. We are also going up for 10 days at the end of August with the full setup.

Here are a couple pics from last summer.

It's a rough life up there.
