A vehicle on 35s is pretty much the minimum tire size for Sledge and locked both ends, with low gears. You have to expect some body damage. A good attitude is required. There are a couple of places that have gotten more "interesting" over the last year.
I would also recommend keeping some distance between vehicles in some of the tighter sections, so that better equipped rigs can pass. People travel the trails in both directions.
Have fun. Looks like it will be a nice weekend.Rich

Will take about 3 hours from where I live to drive.
I'd like to be on the trail by 10am on Sat.
We will be camped out there Friday-Sunday on the west side of the road down when you get on the drylake. Look for my 40' Weekend Warrior pulled by a white Dodge Dually. And some JKs!

I plan to do some wheeling on Sunday too!

There should be plenty of neat rigs out there every weekend through King of the Hammers on the 27th of Feb. My group of buddies will be out there. They are the two yellow XJ buggies you will see camped on the lake bed (with a white one not in the race). You will want to make sure to spend some time at Back Door watching people try different lines for the Last Chance Qualifier and the race.
One of the things to look at when looking at all the rigs for the race this year is suspension. That technology is really improving.Rich
