            It is lower because the profit margin is less. Look on the pump, it will tell you that you are paying taxes. On base you are tax exempt except for gas, alcohol and cigarettes. Uncle Sam is going to get his money.

                  Cheapest I found today is $2.99 ... cost me $48 to fill my Jeep with just over 15 gallons.... Oh, I failed to mention.. right across the river in NJ it's 2.59 or less in some places as of the weekend.

                                Found diesel for $2.69/gallon. Too bad the tank still has 15 gallons or so in it......
