Like I said never had any problems with wolf nothing no jams no nothing with about 250 a day and thousands rnds over afew years. Like I said it extremely cheap and good for plinking. Spending more than .35 a bullet to plink is not my idea of a good time lol. Tumbleweed like to check out west end but you got to know somebody or be a member. If you do another night shoot lmk I go with maybe convince my buddy to break out the .50cal.

Hey LG you were right that prvi didn't last long. I went to order this morning a 1 minute it was in stock next it was gone lol. I actually found a bettdelayed for some federal lake city 55 grn fmj bt ammo for a little bit cheaper shipped. Why is this ammo so expensive and hard to get these days . Pretty sure I paid less than half the price I paid for this ammo 10 years ago.

Beau, next time I go, I'll see if you can tag along. My friend is a more the merrier type. However we don't have any plans to go right now. My focus is on finishing my build 1st.

Just put in the note to let you know when it comes in. I have never had an issue with Aim.
Like I said, I just rec'd 5K rnds of .223/5.56mm from them a short time ago.
As far as ammo costs......Supply & demand.
I reload all of my cowboy(SASS) ammo, and everyday blasting ammo. Plus my long range match in both smokeless and black powder.
Been a reloader for over 45 yrs.
Going back to Gunsite this Fall......

Thanks I want to say I've been to that range 20 years ago but not sure. Has it always been private? Hey LG do you reload your .223 also? Is it even worth the trouble?

Yes, I reload .223 and hell yes it's worth it.
              I can reload .55 gn .223 for under 12 cents a round.
              I buy components in bulk.

                    What load are you using?
Do you have a case gage to check case headspace and O.A.L. with?
                    Good outfit to deal with.

                    I use H-335 powder in my 55gn .223 loads.

My upper came in the mail, yesterday. 4 days from order to delivery. Rainer Arms has fast svc. The upper fit the lower, like a glove. They're both made by Mega Arms. That set screw feature my lower has will not be needed, for quite a while.

New question. I've noticed that the majority of the BCG's I've been looking at say .223. As long as the barrel I get is chambered for 5.56, I should be ok,right? I don't want to goof up, and end up with a rifle that only shoots .223.

Here's a good outfit to work with about everything AR.

Already been there. Unfortunately, they only have 1 type of bolt that is currently in stock that I can use. Plenty of full auto bolts available, but that doesn't help me any. Like I said before. Parts availability is as much a part of determaning which parts I end up with, as anything. I'm get'n the BCG, before the barrel, cuz the barrel I want wont be available for another month. The joys of building an AR.

Auto/burst and semi-auto "bolt" is the same.
It's the bolt's carrier that is different.
And the wrong one will put you in jail...
                              What bbl you get'n?

I like this YHM barrel. I'll be go'n with the 1:7 twist, mid-length gas.
