Its green. Its a nylon nipple. This is adjusted, so it just touches the upper, when they are mated. Tight, was the wrong word, to use, previously. This will remove, any slop, there may be between the 2 halves.

    THX!
    First I have seen one.
IF, the lower and upper are made to mil specs. You will not have a fit'n issue.
It's the ones that fall out of this spec that make those things a need.
FYI, the mil swap out uppers all the time. That is why that spec is so "tight".

Thank you for raising sons willing to serve, and thanks to them for serving. (x2 on the rest)

        Little brag'n here.
Have 3 sons who have served and seen combat.
        Oldest one(Wayne) USMC Aircrew(HMM-165)as Crewchief/door-gunner with over 50 missions.
Brad, Army tanker. Over 100 combat missions and earned the PH and CIB.
Justin, Army Ranger with 75th Reg, with 6 tours and earned a PH & Bronze Star.
Oh-Yeah, little brag'n on my Mom. She was a WW2, WASP(Womens Air Service Pilot), she flew everything with wings.
Have a Medal of Honor in the family from my wife's side. Gen. Schofield. YES, her last name is Schofield. She was born and raised in Missouri.
Brad and Justin became "my" sons, when Barb. and I were married in 2003.

Thanks for the link on that lower! looks great and that extra screw to tighten it to the upper is a great feature.

Got to test my completed lower, last night. A friend let me use his upper. I ran 100rds with it. Worked without a hitch. Can't wait to get started on the upper. Ordering a Rainer Arms (made by Mega) forged upper w/o FA, on thursday.
It was like that when I got here.

Thats awesome! Whats an "FA"? You going to run m4 feed ramps or not?
Since my ar-15 redo is pretty much done(waiting on optics and magpul sling attachments) I decided to do a new build since I have this 24" 1 twist stainless bull barrel upper just sitting here. Bought a jd machine stripped lower for this build really nicely made lower from company in san diego looked at the palmetto but didnt like how thin the mag wells were. Going to bulid a sniper rifle with this one with magpul prs adjustable stock, rifle length floating 4 rail handguard, nice scope and a custom trigger job 3# max. Want to sent the barrel out to get flutted since it is so heavy and have it blackend. I am going to build this one as deals come my way. BTW anybody know a good place to buy ammo locally thats not going to break the bank. $500 for a 1000 rds of .223 is ridiculouse. .50 cents a bullet is double what I paid back in 2000 for the same stuff.

I believe that's a "target" rifle. The afore-mentioned word makes the owner the target... It's not local, but JG sales in Prescott has some good prices.

Hey LG is that stuff reloadable? My mistake a target rifle with sniper looks lol. Whats the reason for not running a foward assist?or did it not come with one installed.

I bought some brass case ammo a while ago and it had some sort of crimp on it that made it hard for my buddy to reload. I have a few thousand rounds of brass Ive collected over the years that id like to reload someday. The FA question was for Tumbleweed.

He said it was hard to reload for some reason. Aim wants $37.45 for shipping for a total of $346.95 . I found some federal lake city green tip penetrator m855 for $369.99 with free shipping.
