  • An Era has ended...Emily is no longer my DD

With much trepidation and sadness...I gave in and purchased a new Daily Driver yesterday.

It was such a good deal, I really had a hard time saying no to it. So into the garage Emily goes...shes now my weekend driver.

Chris and I spent all day at the dealer and came home with a 2003 Dodge Stratus. Shes very comfortable. (GOD...I feel SO guilty )

    And there you go.

Guilty? How can you feel guilty? I wish I had something else to drive on a daily basis. That way I wouldn't be wearing out my jeep going to and from work. It would live a longer, happier life if it only had to do weekend/trail duty. Jeeps are happier there. They dislike pavement, in fact, they don't even like being on pavement going to and from the trail. They much prefer a steady diet of dirt and rocks, nothing more, nothing less.

But, if you continue to feel excessive amounts of guilt, feel free to sign the title of the stratus over to me. I'll drive it to and from work, and let my heep eat nothing but rocks and dirt.

                      I agree with the kids...cute.

Emily is probably thankful to be in a nice, safe, warm garage. Away from traffic that might dent her or worse. Having to park with "mall Jeeps" and stuff. Yech.

Hey, buying the Stratus probably put 10 more years of life into Em.

I wish I could have a second vehicle, but parking is a nightmare here. I tried that with the 280Z...I kept a 68 VW Bug. I wish I had room for one now.

Let me just say... I don't blame you.

I had to get a rental car last week while my Jeep was in the shop. Damn cars drive good. :yay:

                          congrats.

Some skids, a small lift and 25's will make her ready for the trail!
