Question:

Are you planning to stick with the narrow track axles or go for full width?

I've been debating that for a long time.

For the time being I'm sticking to the narrow axles and run some 33" until I wear them out..... at that time I might consider the full width and go with some 35s".

the axles are still narrow until early 80s. the leaf spring do change though.

How did your project turn out?

I read this thread and wondered if you ever did the conversion? Have you been happy this results? I just bought a 85 CJ7 and can see a need to do something with the suspension.

I'm basically looking into more articulation and a smoother ride. I would like to upgrade my tire size to 35" but I might be looking to go just with 33". Looking at the pictures from the links I provided from my original post it seems that the change in lengths of the leafs would give me wanted without spending a tons of money. I agree with you about doing an SOA.... I've heard good and bad so I think I'll stay clear of that.
