Good, I'm not alone here... I made a complaint to you know who () a while ago to get a few more even after my "30Mb" subscription. I'd rather have 10,000 PMs taking up my 30Mb. I have my own ways of putting up a 'gallery'.

I have a small insignificant rant that I must get out.

Yesterday, I measured, marked and double checked everything and then had the spring pads from Currie welded to the D35.

I'm not a 'certified welder' so I am not allowed to do any welding at the shop on base. However, I'm pretty sure that I could have done a lot better job than this:

These are crappy camera phone pictures. I'll get some Hi-res ones tonight, it's just been on my mind all night and all morning.

Now...the perspective of the situation is that the weld job was done for free, and I got what I paid for. I'm sure they won't come off for a long time, I was expecting a "stack of dimes" from a certified welder. Plus I've seen the welds he did on his own rig, and they were pretty damn nice.

Okay end of ranting.

Yeah...so that's what I got back.

I was thinking of making a skid plate of my own design...but not sure about these guys welding it up for me. I do need a skid plate though, already bashed the slushbox on the rocks before. And I think the oil pan has seen better days also.

Ah well, I have enough going on for right now.

turning the pinion will also turn the caster. This will make harder to keep on the road. Unless you cut the knuckles loose from the housing, get the desired pinion angle, rest the spring pads and then weld the knuckles back with the correct caster.

Ummmm.... I'm gonna leave it alone then.

Ok maybe I missed something, but what are you doing with knuckles on a Dane 35? Where did you get a 35 front end? :confused2
