Must be getting bored again lol. Front sway bar is ordered for the buggy, then when looking on a few builds on Pirate came across the idea of a driveline disconnect so you can do a front wheel dig. Sounds like a fun project so might cut the rear driveshaft up for one of those easier to do than 4 wheel steer. Also cut up a TJ heater box to make me a smaller, lighter, simpler heater box for my Jeep.

I have been thinking about this for flat towing. My father in law had a driveshaft decoupler installed on his sequoia for towing behind his RV. Works well but the hardware is by the rear axle pinion and hangs low and doesn't look too tough. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Fixed one of the last few irritants on my Tinkertoy, belt would squeel like a pig when the Jeep was first started, would squeel when the York was on also. All better now, was pretty sure the alternator pulley needed a bit more belt wrap. I had copied the York bracket that my bud had on his Jeep and it had the same problem for years. Was kind of a pain to add another idler pulley, but got er done.

It does take a bit of fitting to add a pulley, but few things are more annoying than a belt squeal! Your clearances there look as tight as they are in Opy, is the motor and radiator in it's stock configuration?
I am running a sanden style on mine now, and it works fine, but I miss the york. Hard to beat it.

Took awhile to make the bracket. Had wanted to use the stock tensioner but that would have made it a lot more complicated. This worked fine.
Engine ended up where it sit because I didn't want to change the rear trans mount and drive shaft lengths.
On to today's mockup.

Moving along, will finish weld it tomorrow and take it to trail to flex it out.
Then give it a whirl on a few Hammer trails on Tuesday.

Been meaning to built a minimalistic, barebones light weight heater for my Jeep. Got a nice start on it today
