Wow. There are a lot of us here. We need to head out and run the Brooklyn Mine trail. This would be a good neewbie run because it is moderate at best and it is very scenic. Has to wait for winter though. You couldn't make me go out there now!!!!!

It is a great place. This is the third time I have been stationed here. (14 years in the Corps, 10 at MCCES)
Some highlights:
No traffic. (Except leaving town Friday night)
Low crime rate. (Except for the meth labs)
Affordable housing. (Sand is cheap)
Star filled skys.
We still have a working drive-in. (Smith Ranch)
But the best part is; lots of rock and sand to drive on.
The weather is not too bad.
It is only supposed to be 104 today. (But it is a dry heat)

Maybe I should plan a reunion run out here. Sometime this winter, we could run some trails in the Old Dale Mine area.DesertYJ

A run out there sounds like fun! When I was there, I had no car at all, man did that suck! But you're right. Wait for winter, otherwise our Jeeps might meltIt's not the size of your tire, it's how you place it!
