Grump1 found his way here
I'm officially OHV 83V for the SBNF OHV Volunteer Program and known as one of the two Grumpy Old Men. The other is Rex 78V. I'm full time retired in Big Bear Lake and Rex is full time required in Lake Gregory. I'm 4x4 and ATV certified and Rex is 4x4, MC and ATV certified. We joined the OHV group about 3 months ago and each have accumulated 300+ hours in the forest and now are grumpy Patrol Leaders. We like to do the out of the ordinary so we do photo projects, cleanups and will do gold patrols etc. Thong patrols sounds good too. We go out every week, about 3 times and we intend to continue year round, snow and all.
We ran across you guys on Little Big Bear Mt. Rd. your adopt a trail with Gregg Hoffman - our leader, put some water on a fire, demonstrated the crappiness of OHV radios - hand me downs - and otherwise acted abnormally as possible.
I running a '90 YJ factory renegade with the original lift and flairs, 33's a lot of this and that but no lockers.
Hope you all got home safe and sound on those deadly freeways.
Jim

Hey!
Glad you found your way! It was a pleasure to meet you guys. I was sitting next to Erik when you guys were talking about lockers. We learned a lot of information from you guys and greatly appreciate it. We had a great time cleaning up and making ash soup .
I am sure we will run into you a lot up there.Supe

I live in Rancho San Diego, yet grew-up in LA & OC mostly. It's a relatively small simi-private community tucked away in the hills a few miles south of El Cajon. Kids can freely walk to school without much concern. Folks walk about at all hours, jog, and other relaxing things without worry of incident or crime. Neighbors act like neighbors of old times and crime isn't a thing we worry about.

Even then, the neighborhood was spooky! I got my passenger side wind-wing of my '68 Ply Road Runner shot out at that intersection! Nope, I'm NOT moving back anytime soon.
