Thanks... and You do. I made those with a harbor freight 4.5" angle grinder, a black and decker half inch drill, and a 6x6 shed with 6 square feet of free space on the ground.... then borrowed a guy who knows how to weld. If you can read a tape measure, cut paper and color between the lines.. you can build long arms. Cost me a total just shy of 700 to build them. 539 of that being the joints. The front arms are so easy to do, its really sick. The rear takes a bit more work but its not that bad.

Honestly, the hardest part is convincing yourself you can do it and finding a good welder with a 220 to do the welding for a case of beer. I borrowed a friends 110 to tack things together and then brought it to the welder to finish the welds.

hmmm.. don't know why the pics aren't showing.. maybe these will.

the write up for the long arms are here:
                      http://la4x4forum.ipbhost.com/index....47&hl=long+arm

May have to register to see it, I don't know. I'm always logged. You can get 2" OD tube inserts with 1 1/4 - 12 threads if you don't like the idea of welding a nut to square tube.
