Morning all. I just found this site and thought it was way overdue to join a forum. I've posted to bike forums in the past but for some reason never ones for my Jeep. Looking forward to meeting people and asking/answering questions.

Maybe you just haven't broken your Jeep enough. The guys(and gals) around here can definitely assist you with that... and then help you get it back together.

Thanks. Been tryin to put up a picture with my name, but I didn't read the how to section first. One of these days I'll have a picture or two up.

I'm really lookin for tips on swaps and updgrades, particularly for the xmsn and axles. I've been lookin around and haven't been able to find good solid advice yet.

Well, I replaced my D35 axle with an 8.8 from an Explorer. That's a good one. What do you want to do with your tranny?

I swapped my Dana 35 for a Ford 9" built by Currie Enterprises. I had them include the high pinion and high clearance option and Detroit Locker. It will likely be the last part of the drive train to break!

The sparse three gear tranny shift way too fast, and I've always preferred stick over auto anyway. If there was a four speed auto that would work that would even be better than what I have. I want to upgrade to 4.10 or 4.56 gears but don't dare with the tranny I have now. The slippage in the autos drive the rpms up too far for driving any real distances on pavement.
