It was good to get out there with you guys and gals....what a great time..it was far too long between runs for me, i'll have to get out more often. here's a few pic's that I snapped off. these came out 1/2 way decent...I'm certainly not known for my photography skills..Theres one in there of you Joe, only one I got and not the greatest....it didn't get that big'O smile you had on your face all day. Sorry I didn't get at least one of everybody, oh well there will be other times. In the mean while, enjoy these....

It was a great day! I had an excellent time and I know Sharon did too. It was a good group of folks, I enjoyed meeting or wheeling again with all of you. I didn't take as many pics as usual, but I have some video that I have to figure out how to pull apart and upload.

Here's my photos from the day:
Hey Kurt! "Bob's Path" ain't for sissies or nothin'! Check this out:

MadMike had some struggles with his open diffs over this spot, but it made for some killer flex pics:

I was too far back in the line to get a photo of Chuck's underwear-altering tilt, but I did capture his odd choice in parking spaces:

Russ had to struggle to tug him off that thing:

When we got over to Holcomb Creek, Bob started the show with flair:

At the Playground, the folks that were ahead played around for a few minutes to let everyone regroup. Chuck Jeep waved "Hi" to everyone:

Hey Chuck, I don't know who was smiling more that day, Joe or your boy, Cody. He seemed to have a fantastic time. It was great to wheel again with you.

Maxwell took only a few seconds to pick the hardest line in the playground and then scrambled up!:

Since his wife, Nicole, is expecting a baby girl in December, I'm pretty sure the baby girl's gonna pop out shifting gears and climbing rocks!

At the middle Rock Garden, Sharon (who drove all of Holcomb that day) excepted the challenge of the hard line. Maxwell did an excellent job of spotting her through! Thanks bro. :thumbs_up

Hey Joe, I didn't get any really good pics of your Rubi for an avatar, but you were definitely testing the flex on Mogul Hill:

After Holcomb, a few of us tried to make the long run across 3N16 to the far side of the mountains. The goal was to take Horsethief down to JV. We took Jacoby Canyon down to get to the trailhead. Bob O found an interesting line along the way:

Unfortunately, daylight was waning fast when we reached the 18, so we decided to save the trip for another day.

Here's the rest of my pics:

            Bent Question

On the Rubicon the tie rod connects the steering box to the Drag link. The tie rod on the pass side does have a slight factory "bend". The Drag link is completely staight (from the factory). Every one I know has bent their Drag link. It is usally the one to watch. When you do bend it you can bend it back, but thats the last indication to beef it up. Currie Ent. has a nice replacement steering system$$$, or you could weld a piece of angle stock to it $$, or sleeve a dana 60 drag link and weld the ends like I did.

Pics of BB trip comming soon! In laws in town... give me a day or two.

Cool . . . Thanks Max7 . . . I thought it looked okay but seeing that the slight bend was only on the passenger side, I thought I might have tweeked it.

If you start getting excessesive tire wear on the insides of the front tires, or your jeep drives "tight" you probably have too much "toe in" due to bent steering linkage. Always check your tires for that kind of wear after wheeing hard.

Joe, Maybe something like this will do for now...until you get a good "poser" shot next weekend! Just right click on it and you should be able to download it to your HD, then upload it to your avatar.

I didn't get the picture; my camera went into sleep mode, and by the time it re-started, I missed the photo op. Maybe this will do?
