    Saturday Outerlimits

Saturday we ran Outerlimits and had about 17 in line in the morning and the trail leader had some brake problems, alot of guys went on another trail. About 6 or 7 of us headed to the trail and one got lost so the leader went to find him. Then four of us started on the trail and one broke a hub at the first bad waterfall and the other three of us finally got thru all of the trail. One Scrambler, my Rubicon and a Sami. Had to use the winch three times, that is one hell of a trail. Rat get ready for the September Victor valley run to run this trail.

The quad rider was alive but likely paralyzed as he could not move. He was flown out.

It seems that at every large event this year somebody has been injured due to improper use or no safety equipment in use. Please be careful.

Btw, I ran sledge in my TJ on 35's. Close behind 2 yota's on 37's, a yota on 38's and a bruiser on 46's. 46's make big holes.

Hells gate (down devils slide) is much, much easier.

What an amazing trail. A buddy of mine once got through on 33's, an expert spotter, a winch and a couple rocks placed just right. But not without some body damage. On trails like those- we'll, anytime we hit the trail, safety should be first.

Yeah body damage occurred on the trails, however both accidents occurred on the dry lake where speeds increase quite a bit. I admit to wearing the lap belt on the trails most of the time, but I harness up for the drylake and woops.

The wheeler that died was doing donuts with a loose lap belt and rolled. He fell the belts slipped down his leg and he broke his neck.

One of the guys in our camp rolled doing donuts and smashed in his roof. Fortunately he walked away uninjured.

Like I said, be careful and use the safety equipment needed.

Man, What a crappy weekend for folks in general. I feel really bad for the losses out at JV last weekend. I didn't know either of these guys, but it's sad all the same. RIP guys.

            My uncle is next... ;(

I am very happy to report that the gentleman on the quad will make a full recovery. He was the son of a wheeler and only broke his tailbone. No alcoohol was involved.

The tires on the ground are almost two inches shorter than the new. I've worn that much rubber off these tires. So I was really doing JV on 33.5's, probably less that that because I was aired down to 8 lbs.. No freaking wonder my Jeep looks like it does.
Had a great time, Joy, you're welcome to ride with me anytime. You are great company. Bob, thanks for the great pics, and letting your beautiful wife spend the day with me. Stuart, let me know when those 36's go up for sale

                  I took exactly 0 pictures. I SUCK!

Hey Rat, I ran some bogger one time up Sledhammer that were 33's but were atually 31 inches tall, then when I aired them down they were around 30 inches tall. Loved the tires, but it was a challenge for my pumpkins, Kevin.
