Anyone interested in doing a drinkwater run to del sur then into rowher flats staging area. i want to try out my new mud terrain tires. my friend and i will be leaving from the usa gas station at 10:30 am sunday

yes its off san Francisquito and the usa gas station we will be meeting at is on soledad and whites canyon.

Is Drinkwater currently open? I heard it had been closed for "restoration." However, my info is not very current.

we were on that trail about four months ago. in fact when we got to the staging area we decided to go up lookout and i broke a rear axle half way up. lol not fun.

What axle did you break? D35? What size tires? Are you locked?

(Just curious... I'm on a D35 and am not too worried as my tires are small, but still think about axle breakage in the back of my mind when I'm wheeling)

if I go, I can meet you at the trailhead - where do you guys plan on starting, at the bottom of drinkwater canyon off of san francisquito?

d35 and at the time i was running 33s. i bought a set of 32 m/t since then. we are starting at the san Francisquito end of the trail and we will be there at 11:00 am.
