that is a fairly complete set of spares, some of which can be left at camp with the spare tire.

make sure you have a jack with witch you can change a tire and good recovery points front and rear.

What if she doesn't know how to change a tire?!? :yay:

Your list fails to mention Zip ties and Duct tape... WHICH always come in handy on the trail.

Thanks Blaine... I will take off and out as much stuff as possible before departing.

Probably remove all 4 doors also
leave the spare at camp (I am running 4 ply sidewall bias ply Maxxis sticky creeepy crawlers anyway so hopefully those will hold up fine)

Looking forward to hanging with you guys.

UH, Like Blaine said, NOT in JV,... alot of that stuff stays at camp..

Dont need snow chains. I have a winch so the hi-lift come along deal is a waste of time.

I run synthetic winch rope, so my shocker gloves will be fine Chains with Hooks are NEVER ALLOWED... WE DONT WANT TO HURT ANYONE...

and I listed recovery kit.. that has everything I need in in.. shackles, rock strap, spotter strap, 2 tow straps, winch extension, gloves, etc.....

We carry drinking water that can be used in the radiator.

                      fire extinguisher
first aid kit [you had that, just checking to see if you are reading this]
Those items are a given. This is not rookie level wheeling.

10' chain with hooks on both ends
Useful if you have a slip hook on one end and a chain hook on the other, but overall, the weight is too high for it's usefulness in JV.
                      Jack-Mate - the add-on to make the hi-jack into a come-along
2" thick 8" square board to put under the hi-jack when you are in the sand
                      tow strap
Go away, I don't and won't carry a high lift, so those items are of no use.

snow chains for all four tires
tarps to place on ground when working under the 4X4 - can use for shade or as a lean-to
I carry a tarp, small tough one, but it's rarely used on trail and the big tarps back at camp get more use.
                      bungie cords
mallet to convince parts to move
Forget the bungies and carry a 50' hank of 1/4" nylon braided rope. More useful, and does most everything a bungee will.

No mallet. Get a steel handled 2 or 3 lb shop hammer with a good grip. When you need a hammer, you need a real one.

                      WD-40
Not worth the mess it makes carrying it around.
poncho [we do get rain in Southern California]
You are better served with several large heavy weight trash bags. Have more uses and can be used as a poncho if needed. Also good for packing out oil soaked sand and dirt, wrapping up greasy busted parts etc.

gloves for the cold ,disposible gloves for repairs
I take two pair of leather gloves. One is insulated. I typically wear out a pair of leather gloves per Rookie Run. Everything else is something to thrill you. No actual use.
                      rags
wipe-n-dipe to get the @@#$@#$$ grease off the hands
                      trash bags
I have one bag that has hand cleaner, paper towels in plastic bags, plastic bags, and shop towels in it.

                      TP
                      jumper cables
                      shove
                      CB radio
                      cell phone
CD with "Happy Trails", "Truckin' ", ...

                      ... and
Again, this is not entry level wheeling. Except for jumper cables which are non essential, you should have every thing else.

                      Trail Etiquette
                      A SENSE OF HUMOR
I have neither etiquette or a sense of humor. That's why they put me at the front of the line.

                        Most commonly used trail items:

                        Glass Cleaner

                        A Roll of Paper Towels

Tire Deflator and Tire Pressure Gauge (air down before leaving camp for a comfortable ride to the trail, at the trail-head if necessary after warming up the tires to the trail and whenever the tires are not sticking on the rocks)

Please bring a chair (handy for sitting around the campfire and when eating lunch on the trail)

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and to an exciting day on the trail.

                        Kat

If you're referring to me, I don't drink high end coffee. I drink Yuban. I am not the organizer either, just ask steelman.

As far as your thong goes, that's Brian's section. Get with him and work it out.
